About Me

I have been working as a birth professional since 2001, when I became a certified birth doula by DONA (Doulas of North America). One year later I completed my prenatal yoga certification through Whole Birth Yoga and later completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training through YES (Yoga Educational Seminars). Then, after the birth of my first child in 2005, I became a certified childbirth educator through CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association). I am currently teaching at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center and serving doula clients in Santa Cruz County. In addition, I serve on the board of Santa Cruz Birth Network. I live in Santa Cruz with my husband and two children.
